Background and Rationale The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies presents both opportunities and challenges for educational systems across Africa. AI is transforming education globally, offering tools for personalization, automation, and efficiency in teaching, learning, and administration. However, in many African contexts, the adoption and integration of AI in education remain limited due to capacity gaps, infrastructural challenges, and a lack of adequate and contextualized research to inform policy and practice.
